If anything, New Orleans is a city that loves a good burger. Today was my first visit to The Company Burger and it was even better than I expected. With a limited menu, they have specialized in making the best burger in town. My choice: The Company Burger with a fried yard egg and tater tots.

The Company Burger on Freret St. has been open a little over a month. Their premise is an antibiotic and hormone-free burger  on a locally-baked, buttery toasted hamburger bun. They are served with onions from a local farmers market, house-made bread & butter pickle slices and melted American cheese. You can eat in or get your food to go. They have both inside and outside seating depending on your preference. Inside, you can choose to eat at a table or the bar, and even watch football on their big screen TV. Outside, picnic tables are available for dining.

They have a condiment bar loaded down with different varieties of  homemade mayonnaise, including:herb, chipotle, bacon, basil, and garlic mayonnaise to choose from. I added some of their homemade chipotle mayonnaise to my burger and it was a nice addition. My burger was perfectly cooked and the egg was a delicious selection.

The burgers are priced in the $8.50 range with the side items coming in around $2 apiece. I would recommend The Company Burger to anyone that wants a quality burger for either lunch or dinner.

The Company Burger is located at 4600 Freret St. and is open 11-3 for lunch and 5-10 for dinner every day except Tuesdays. They are closed on Tuesday.
