Local independent poet-warriors, Anne Giselson and Vera Warren (owners of Antenna Gallery and The Community Book Center respectively), will be joining the People Say Project to speak about culture and money in New Orleans. The People Say Project, a partnership between Loyola University’s English Department and NOLA Fugees Press to explore the intersections of culture and money in New Orleans gathering artists from different generations to discuss the ways in which they live and make a living in the city.  Through these cross-generational conversations, The People Say Project hopes to contribute public dialogue for a sustainable local culture.

The event will be held at the Lousiana Humanities Center. Doors open at 5pm for a free happy hour provided by Handsome Willy’s Patio Bar, Abita Beer, Zapp’s Chips, and the Cupcake Fairies. The conversation starts at 6pm and is followed by an audience Q&A.
