On December 10, seven teams will compete for the title of CHEW DAT CHAMPION in the first ever Rethink cook-off fundraiser. Benefitting Rethink, a group of visionary middle school students responsible for bringing structural and ideological reforms (http://www.therethinkers.com/what-weve-done-2/ ) to RSD schools in New Orleans, each team will prepare four dishes using a secret ingredient from the Rethink garden. Teams will then present their dishes to a panel of celebrity judges and an enthusiastic crowd.
Teams are in competition not only for finalized dishes but also for key ingredients. For every $10 you donate, your team will receive 25 cents to spend on ingredients beyond a basic pantry. The more you give, the more scrumptious the dishes, the better your team’s chance of winning the coveted Golden Fork!
You can donate now to the team of your choice and join us for the Chew Dat Cook-Off Party on Saturday, December 10 from 6pm-9pm. Your donation will get you into the Cook-Off Party for free!
