The New Orleans Photo Alliance (NOPA) is pleased to announce PhotoGALA, its annual fundraiser and one of the highlights of the sixth annual PhotoNOLA festival. The PhotoGALA Benefit Party and Auction will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 7-10pm at The Musee Conti Historical Wax Museum. Patrons can enjoy food, drinks, and live entertainment. The fun-filled evening will include a print auction, live music by Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, locally brewed beer compliments of NOLA Brewery, and raffle prize drawings including a Canon digital camera.
Hors d’oeuvres will be provided compliments of Jazz Sushi, Jacques-Imo’s, Bywater BBQ, Refuel, Café Fatoush, Windowsill Pies and La Divina Gelateria. The live auction, beginning at 8:00pm, will feature works by internationally renowned photographers including Jock Sturges, Thomas Neff, Lori Vrba, John Chervinsky, Louviere+Vanessa, Lori Waselchuk, Josephine Sacabo and Richard Sexton.

PhotoGALA tickets are available for $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased through the PhotoNOLA website at http://photonola.org/pn-gala-tickets/. Cocktail attire is suggested for this spirited fun-raiser. All proceeds benefit the New Orleans Photo Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization whose mission is to encourage the understanding and appreciation of photography.
