If you have always wanted to be in the crowd on Oscar night, but don’t have any of the talents that could get you there, you are in luck! The SouthEast Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross* is hosting one of only 50 official Oscar viewing parties sanctioned by the Academy (and the ONLY one in NOLA) at the Theatres at Canal Place on February 26,2012 from 6pm-midnight. The big show will be airing on the big screens in the shwanky Canal theatres.
If you are in desperate need of a new facebook photo (that you didn’t take of yourself in the bathroom mirror) New Orleans finest paparrazi will be there snapping photos of you in your finest Red carpet attire. General admission tickets are $100/person and $175/couple but for $25 more you can roll VIP from 5-6pm for the Patron Pre Party at Morton’s Steakhouse with a live Cabaret show.
The event is complete with spectacular food creations by Adolfo Garcia’s Gusto Cafe, special movie themed drinks, and great swag including the same offical program the celebrities receive…can you say keepsake?
