Kate Ryan was born and raised in Philadelphia. In 2011, she graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Painting. While at MICA, she exhibited extensively in on-campus exhibitions as well as at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. In the fall of 2009, she studied and showed in Florence, Italy at Studio Art Centers International. She now lives and works in New Orleans, Louisiana where she has exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Center, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the St. Tammany Art Association.
